The report states that a Blair County man, 49 year old Eric Turner of Hollidaysburg was driving along Rt. 22 in Smithfield Twp. Wednesday morning, when he apparently crossed over the center line of the highway and crashed head on into the path of a tractor trailer. Authorities say that Turner was killed instantly, and the driver of the tractor trailer was not injured. The highway was closed for several hours following the accident. Police continue to investigate to find the cause of the crash.
