A report in the Altoona Mirror states that concerns shared by some students has led to the patrolling of the facility. In the report, students were said to have reported homeless people in the garage, several car break ins and that students were getting tickets for illegally parking in the facility. A spokesperson for the city authority office says that there are no homeless people to her recollection in the garage, and that no break ins were reported and tickets were handed out at the beginning of school last year. Now students will have window stickers to identify their vehicles. Penn State leases space in the garage for students to use.
