In a ceremony yesterday at the Blair County courthouse, attorney Ilyssa Zimmerman became Judge Zimmerman in front of a crowd inside the courthouse. Judge Zimmerman takes the place of now senior judge Dan Milliron on the bench. Judge Zimmerman will serve out the remainder of judge Milliron’s term thru the end of 2023. D.A. Pete weeks said that because of possible conflicts of interest, judge Zimmerman will not preside over any criminal trials during her 18 month term. President judge Elizabeth Doyle administered the oath of office to judge Zimmerman. She did not say if she will run for a full 10 year term when her current term expires.
