The Altoona Mirror reports that the school board has awarded a $1.1 million contract to L.S. Fiore general contractor to do the work on the new field. The project will include a new playing surface, bleachers, new lights and scoreboard. Fiore was given the job because of previous work it had completed for the district, which officials say was completed with excellent results. Claysburg will once again play all of its “home games” this season at Hollidaysburg’s Tiger stadium. The Bulldogs were welcomed last year by the Holl School District, and will accomodate them again this year. The field hopefully will be ready for the 2023 season.
