According to a report by Channel 6, those tensions continue to run high as parents have challenged the school board to do something about the growing unrest. Parents say there is a lack of security, that is putting their children at risk. One member of a group called concerned citizens of Westmont Hilltop says that the district has not taken the matter seriously and has not hired any adequate security or police officers. The group says it wants to discuss cell tower placement, traffic patterns for students among other issues. The group says that is it actively seeking candidates for the 2023 school board election where 5 of 9 seats will be up for grabs.
