A report by WTAJ indicates that the alarm was called in to 911 around 9:45 Friday night for a fire on the 6100 block of oak avenue in Altoona. Firefighters from Allegheny Twp responded to the fire, which was contained to a garage that was attached to a house. Fire officials say that the blaze probably started in a corner of the garage, but was put out quickly by firefighters. A fire marshal was on scene Saturday morning to try and determine a cause. Two cars inside the garage sustained damage. No other information was released.
