PennDot announced that the first phase of the I-80/I-99 interchange project was opened up to drivers yesterday. This project is part of a billion dollar construction plan that is scheduled to better connect both, interstate highways and will make for safer driving in this area of the connector project. The overall goal of the project, is to construct a high speed interchange for I-80 and I-99. The next phase of construction will go out for bid next year, an is expected to have a price tag of $52 million.
