According to a report filed by WJAC, police have charged 19 year old Jacob Matley of Bellwood with trying to physically assault a nurse at the Chan Soon Shiong medical center of Windber. Police say that Matley was causing a disturbance at the E-R of the facility when he tried to punch a doctor when they arrived to arrest him. Officers also reported a strong presence of alcohol. Matley is accused of spitting at an officer and of shouting obscenities. He is charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and felony aggravated assault. Matley is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.
