WTAJ reports that the PA Gaming Commission has scheduled a hearing for December 14th beginning at 10 am in the Strawberry Square Complex in state college. Opposition against the proposed casino has been strong ever since an announcement was made that an effort was underway to bring a casino to the Nittany Mall. Many feel that a casino would have a large negative impact on students at Penn State, and they cited online gambling as another problem with students. This hearing will be streamed live on the gaming commission website. The gaming commission has yet to rule on whether a license will be granted.
