Television news reports indicate that authorities reported the discovery of an inmate who apparently died inside his cell yesterday. The reports indicate that 44 year old Matthew Himmelright was found unresponsive in his cell just before 6 am Tuesday. Himmelright was given medical attention at the prison, and was taken to Penn Highlands Hosptial in Huntingdon where he was pronounced dead at 6:30 am. No details surrounding the death were released, and pa state police will investigate along with Huntingdon County Coroner’s office. This is the second prisoner death in the region in the past few days. Ramon Ortiz was found dead in his cell at SCI Benner on Monday.
