It is groundhog day in Punxsutawney, and this will be the final sign off for Murgo at WTAJ. Joe has been at the station since 2001, and has spent numerous February 2nds covering the antics of the worlds most famous rodent. Murgo has become known for his annual interview with Punxsutawney Phil just after he makes his annual prognostication of 6 more weeks of winter, or an early spring. 87% of the time, Phil says he sees his shadow, thus extending wintertime for those of us in Central Pa. Murgo will leave the TV airwaves, for a job in a climate risk management company.
