Yesterday, speaker of the house Democrat Mark Rozzi resigned from that position, and gave way to Philadelphia representative Joanna McClinton to take over. Apparently, McClinton was the original choice for speaker after the November election put democrats in charge of the state house. Rozzi took shots at republicans as he left the podium, saying he felt they were using him as speaker and he said they will pay for that. Rozzi was nominated for the post by 80th District Rep Jim Gregory, who called for Rozzi to resign after Gregory said he broke promises made after he was nominated and sworn in. Rozzi also said that Harrisburg just works for itself, and he saw just how corrupt it is.
