A report out of Harrisburg in the Altoona Mirror today indicates that PA could switch over to digital registrations cards that people will be able to carry on their cellphones. New Jersey just recently eliminated paper registration cards, and now PA is looking into the possibility. The measure would have to get legislative approval, before it could be enacted. However, once enacted, people would still be given the option of keeping a physical card in their vehicles if they so choose. This idea has been introduced twice in Harrisburg within the past 4 years, and has never made it out of the House Transportation committee.
