WJAC reports that Johnathan Maines entered a guilty plea in Clearfield County court on Monday to charges that he assaulted the young girl at a home in Clearfield County. The open plea agreement will leave the sentencing totally up to the judge, without any imput from the prosecution. Maines pleaded out to charges of statutory sexual assault, indecent assault and corruption of a minor. Several more severe charges including child rape were withdrawn earlier in the case. He will be sentenced at a later date.
