Blair man sought for auto theft

According to a report by state police and WJAC, troopers are searching for 25 year old Braden Horton for allegedly purchasing a car that was reported stolen in new jersey. Police report that they confiscated the vehicle and discovered that the VIN number had been altered to cover up the theft, and that it was reported stolen. Horton reported to police in 2020 the car had been vandalized and broken into. Police then report that Horton went to New Jersey to purchase the vehicle with a stolen check he took from his family, which bounced. The person who sold the car to Horton, then reported it stolen. Anyone with information about Horton’s whereabouts is urged to call state police at 814 857-3800.
