The Altoona Mirror reports that Judge Wade Kagarise has granted permission to attorney Robert Donaldson to visit the crime scene on the 2000 block of 8th avenue, where the body of Christopher Helsel was discovered. 51 year old Raymond Oechsle of Altoona is charged with killing Helsel, whose body was found in Oechsle’s apartment back on April 23rd. Judge Kargarise, in granting the defense request, did not set a date for Donaldson to view the crime scene, but ruled that Oechsle would not be permitted to go on the visit. Oechsle will have a preliminary hearing tomorrow afternoon in Blair County court.
