A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that voters in Ohio will go to the polls today to vote on a referendum to allow the use of recreational marijuana by private citizens. Some living along the border with Pa say this could lead pa residents to go to the neighboring state and purchase pot. 23 other states and Washington D.C. Have already legalized recreational pot. The vote in Ohio would set the age limit for purchasing pot at 21 and older. If passed, the state of Ohio will reap a 10% tax from sales of pot. Currently in Pa, only medical marijuana is legal. A report out last week, stated that the legislature in Harrisburg is considering taking up the topic of legal pot in Pa, but there is no confirmation concerning that rumor.
