Administrators at Pennsylvania’s state capitol say there will be a delay to the start of the 2024 legislative session. It’s due to needed repairs to the Capitol’s leaky roof. House Speaker Joanna McClinton said in a memo to lawmakers that the process will involve weeks of scaffolding preparation, site evaluation and renovation to the areas affected. The state House has no planned voting days in 2024 until mid-March. Because of the repairs, House members will convene in the Capitol Rotunda for the governor’s budget address.
