The solar eclipse will take place today starting in Mexico before moving into Texas and beyond. The path of the total eclipse in the U.S. will kick-off in Dallas at 1:23 p.m. Eastern Time and totality will begin at 2:40 p.m. From there, residents in Idabel, Oklahoma will experience totality at 2:45 p.m. Here in our area totality is expected around 3:19. As for the weather, forecasters say we are expecting clouds this afternoon. This could lower viewing opportunity.
