A Somerset County man is behind bars following an investigation into allegations he sexually assaulted a teenage girl. He’s been identified as 27 year old Travis Taresco of Hooversville. Police say in February troopers were called to investigate reports of sexual abuse at a home along Maple Avenue in Hooversville Borough. The 13 year old girl told police she was staying at the home of a relative and was repeatedly assaulted by the relative’s boyfriend identified as Taresco. Reportedly the alleged assaults occurred while the child was sleeping. Taresco was arraigned on Friday on charges that include attempted rape of an unconscious victim and others. He is in the Somerset County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
