Driving Facing Murder, DUI Charges For I-83 Crash That Killed Three Workers

It has  been almost a year since three construction workers on I-83 were killed In York County when they were hit by a truck, and now the driver of that truck has been charged.  Court documents that were filed yesterday show that 25-year-old Reed Davenport of Maryland, is facing charges that include DUI, three counts of third degree murder, homicide by vehicle and other related charges.  Reportedly, Davenport had no sleep, was driving at a high rate of speed, and was driving under the influence of marijuana last April 17th when he struck and killed three workers.  Those workers included 24-year-old Philson Hinebaugh the third from Johnstown, 42-year-old Robert Hampe of Meyersdale, and 24-year old Jesse McKenzie of Somerset.  Davenport is currently awaiting his preliminary hearing.
