A nearly 3-million dollar grant was awarded to the Bedford County Development Association to expand their existing industrial park. The announcement came yesterday by Governor Josh Shapiro. The governor noted that the Commonwealth is investing 64-million in 11 projects through the first round of the Pennsylvania Strategic Investments to Enhance Sites Program. The “SITES” program is designed to build shovel-ready industrial sites across the state as a way to attract businesses and create jobs. The governor said that after the project is completed in Bedford County, businesses will likely set up shop in that county.
