State Senator Criticized For Using Flamethrower In Anti-Shapiro Ad

A Republican State Senator is facing backlash for using a flamethrower in a video opposing Governor Josh Shapiro’s budget.  The video, which shows State Senator Dawn Keefer using the flamethrower to burn a sign with the governor’s name on it, was posted a month after the arson attack at his home.  Democratic State Senate Minority Leader Jay Costa called the video “insensitive” and “uncalled for.”  WHTM-TV reports Keefer declined to comment on the video, stating that the “bigger concern should be the state burning through taxpayer cash.”
