A former Blair County corrections officer is facing charges after he allegedly falsified his time cards to receive thousands in overtime pay. On Friday, 35-year-old Franklin Deshong of Duncansville was arraigned on 29 felony counts each of theft and receiving stolen property, along with 29 misdemeanor counts of tampering with records. Police report that Deshong reported over 200 hours in overtime pay between March of last year, and March of this year resulting in his being paid an extra $7,000. Reportedly, Deshong admitted to investigators that he forged his employee time cards. Deshong remains free on $75,000 unsecured bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 3rd.
