A list of sanctuary cities released by the Trump Administration last week has been taken down. According to Reuters, the list of about 600 cities and counties was removed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security yesterday following pushback from the National Sheriffs’ Association. The list included 11 counties in Pennsylvania, one of which was Centre. Five cities in the state were also named on the list including State College. The National Sheriff’s Association said the allegation that the sheriffs in those jurisdictions were non-compliant with federal immigration, violated core principals of trust, cooperation and partnership.
