Two public beaches in Huntingdon County are closing, one because of E. Coli, the other because the water is cloudy. According to the Army Corps of Engineers at Raystown Lake, Tatman Run Beach is closed because of high levels of E. coli, and will reopen when the water returns to safe levels. Also, Greenwood Furnace State Park is closed for swimming because high turbidity is making the water murky. Officials at Greenwood Furnace say the beach will reopen when water quality returns to acceptable levels.
