A State College man died Friday following a kayaking accident that occurred at Ohiopyle State Park in Fayette County. The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Michael Barney who drowned after he became stuck in a rapid while kayaking with friends. The incident happened around 7:30 Friday evening. Barney was pronounced dead at the scene. His death has been ruled accidental.
