Pittsburgh native and singer Lou Christie, who had a number one hit in 1966 with Lighting Strikes, has died at 82.  Christie died yesterday at his Pittsburgh home.  He grew up near the old Pittsburgh Airport on Glenwillard.  Christie’s memorable falsetto voice took other songs, including Rhapsody in the Rain, and I’m Gonna Make You Mine, to coveted spots on the Billboard charts.  He also toured with then-up-and-coming Diana Ross and other rising stars in the 1960s, and decades later with Fabian and Frankie Avalon.
