PennDOT is informing motorists of some road closings next week. U.S. 22 westbound will be closed from 8:00 PM Monday, June 30th to 5:00 AM Tuesday July 1st, and U.S. 22 eastbound will be closed from 8:00 PM Tuesday, to 5:00 AM Wednesday, between Route 53-Cresson/Lilly exit and the Summit exit in Cresson Township, Cambria County. The closure and detour will allow contractors to set beams as part of the Route 2019 Bridge Project. A two-and-a-half mile detour will route traffic from U.S. 22 east, and Route 53 north (West 2nd Street), to Route 2014 (Admiral Peary Highway) and back to U.S. 22 east at the Summit Interchange.
