A Johnstown woman died yesterday in her garden when a large tree fell on her. According to Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees, the 53-year-old woman was in her garden on the 900 block of Bedford Street when an ash tree fell on her. Reportedly, the tree appeared to be rotted, and snapped and fell nearly 60 feet onto her. The woman is reported to have died instantly.
