Some advocacy groups gathered in Philipsburg yesterday to protest the Moshannon Valley ICE Center. The event was reportedly held in an effort to demand Clearfield County Commissioners to end their contract with ICE, and shut down the center. Several hundred protestors gathered at the Cold Stream Dam on Route 322, which is about ten minutes away from the center. Those in attendance yesterday were protesting after a 32-year-old Chinese detainee died at the facility several weeks ago.
