Thirty-six-year-old Mary Rummel of Northern Cambria, is facing felony sexual assault and other charges after a teenage boy accused her of plying him with alcohol and assaulting him while he was intoxicated. The investigation by state police has led to nearly a dozen charges against Rummel, including corruption of minors and child endangerment. According to the victim, now 17, the initial sexual encounter happened months before he moved into Rummel’s home in March of last year. The teenager alleges that while visiting her home, Rummel gave him alcohol, and he later woke up to find her on top of him. During questioning, Rummel told police that there was alcohol in her home, but denied giving it to the teen. She denied getting the teen drunk. Rummel was released on unsecured bail, and is awaiting her preliminary hearing.
