A 22-year-old Windber man faces felony charges after three young children under age four were found wandering unattended along a road in Somerset County. Charged was Hunter Thomas who is facing three felony counts of endangering the welfare of children. The children were reportedly in soiled conditions, with one also covered in hot sauce. Police found unsanitary conditions at the man’s apartment, and he allegedly admitted to being distracted when the children left. CYS was notified of the children’s living conditions and were placed with a family member. A preliminary hearing has been slated for September 24th.
