Deadly Disease Found In Deer Across Western PA

A deadly disease is being confirmed to have been found in deer populations across Western Pennsylvania.  The Pennsylvania Game Commission says epizootic hemorrhagic disease has been found in deer across five townships across Butler, Erie, Lawrence and Mercer counties recently.  The disease can only be spread by an infected biting fly and cannot be transmitted from deer to deer.  The commission says there is no evidence that humans, pets, or wildlife can get the virus.
