Comments made by a Spring Cove School District teacher on social media regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk, sparked debate at a school board meeting last night. The Altoona Mirror is reporting that while some community members called for the teacher’s termination, others defended her right to free speech. The teacher, who has not been officially identified, allegedly said she was not “shedding a tear,” after Kirk’s assassination. She further noted in her post that, “Kirk was a powerful, outspoken conservative who held the opposite belief I have about humans and how they should be treated.” She added, “You reap what you sow.” The school district is conducting an investigation.
