Convention Center To Host Oregon Ducks

The Blair County Convention Center in Altoona, is preparing to host the Oregon Ducks football team, for the upcoming game against the Penn State Nittany Lions on September 27.  According to this morning’s Altoona Mirror, this marks the first time the convention center has hosted a visiting football team.  The high-profile matchup between #2 Penn State and #6 Oregon is drawing national attention to central Pennsylvania.  This increased interest has led to suggestions for fans to reserve lodging outside of Centre County, where the game will be held at Beaver Stadium.  Reportedly, the teams accommodations include transportation and related security details.  The Oregon team committed several months ago to utilizing the convention center, with accommodations provided at the adjacent County Inn and Suites by Radisson.
