A fatal house fire occurred last Friday, in Johnstown, requiring the presence of the Cambria County coroner. The two-alarm fire broke out around 5 p.m. at the 600 block of Bedford Street. One victim was discovered on the second floor and pronounced dead at the scene, as confirmed by the Cambria County Coroner’s Office. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, but reportedly the victim is a female in her 50s. A Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal is currently investigating to determine the cause of the blaze.
