An animal abuse investigation in Johnstown has caused significant online outrage, after a video circulated, appearing to show two dogs being thrown into an outdoor pen in the city’s Moxham section. The two female, mixed-breed puppies, identified as Nova and Norah (both between four and five months old), have been confirmed to be safe and are now residing in new foster homes.  Local animal rescue Helping Hearts and Healing Tails reported that they were contacted by the Johnstown Police Department to take the dogs into their care.  In the meantime, Johnstown Police have reported that a juvenile suspect is in custody in connection with this animal abuse case.
