A crash involving a vehicle and an Amish buggy in Liberty Township, Centre County, has left two people hospitalized. The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night along North Eagle Valley Road, near the intersection of Beach Street. The Beech Creek-Blanchard Volunteer Fire Company reported that a vehicle struck the buggy. The two occupants of the buggy were transported to UPMC Williamsport for treatment; the extent of their injuries remains unknown. The driver of the vehicle involved was taken into police custody following the incident. Pennsylvania State Police are conducting an accident investigation. The horse that was pulling the buggy reportedly ran off after the collision. It is not known if the horse has been found.
