Three teenagers, including an 18-year-old have been arrested by Altoona Police, in connection with a string of vehicle thefts and break-ins across Altoona and surrounding central Pennsylvania areas. Police described the group as a “theft ring” responsible for incidents occurring the night of December 4th and the early morning of December 5th. Authorities executed search warrants in Altoona that led to the recovery of numerous stolen items including credit cards, jewelry, car keys, and a firearm. All stolen vehicles were eventually recovered in various jurisdictions. Arrested was 18-year-old Radmir Karimov, who was apprehended in Cumberland County, and is currently held on $100,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 15th. Two unnamed 16-year-olds were taken into custody and placed in juvenile detention. One of the teens was allegedly involved in numerous vehicle break-ins in Tyrone, and the theft of a Mercedes in State College. According to Altoona Police, all 3 are facing numerous felony and misdemeanor charges. The investigation remains ongoing with the cooperation of the Tyrone, State College, Patton Township, and Ferguson Township Police Departments.
