Standout Athlete Steve Taneyhill Passes Away

Steve Taneyhill, a former standout athlete at Altoona Area High School and record-setting quarterback for the University of South Carolina, has passed away at age 52, reportedly from cancer.  Taneyhill led South Carolina to 40 starts and held school records for passing touchdowns and completions.  Taneyhill passed away Sunday evening, at his home in Spartanburg, South Carolina.  Reportedly, funeral arrangements are pending.
