A Western Pennsylvania congressman is looking to lower the price of food at sports stadiums in Pittsburgh and across the nation. U.S. Representative Chris Deluzio is partnering with New York Congressman Dan Goldman to introduce the Honest Oversight of Ticketed Dining and Onsite Grub, or HOTDOG, Act. The measure would allow the Federal Trade Commission to look into concessions pricing for sporting events and establish some affordability rules. A release from Deluzio’s office shows the average price for a hot dog across all MLB ballparks is close to six dollars.
