Google is revealing what grabbed the most attention online in 2025. Conservative activist Charlie Kirk topped the year’s trending searches after he was shot and killed during a speech at Utah Valley University. The hit Netflix animated movie “KPop Demon Hunters” ranked second, followed by the wildly popular Labubu collectible dolls. Other major search spikes included the government shutdown and tariffs, based on Google data from January through late November.
