Pennsylvania Awarded 193-Million Dollars In Federal Rural Health Funding

wrta-logo-sm

Pennsylvania will receive 193-million dollars this fiscal year through a federal Rural Health Transformation program announced yesterday by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.  The funding is part of a 10-billion dollar program created under legislation signed into law in July by President Donald Trump and is intended to support rural health systems as Medicaid cuts take effect nationwide.  Officials and analysts say the funding is unlikely to fully offset the projected reductions.
