Newly elected Bellwood-Antis school director, Kathy Sweigert, resigned on Tuesday, just months after securing enough votes for the win in the November election. Sweigert cited a need to prioritize her daughter’s well-being, noting that advocating for her child within the same system would create a conflict of interest. The board will now appoint a temporary member to serve until a special election in the fall of next year.
