In a heroic early-morning rescue, officers from the Clearfield Regional Police Department saved a family and their pets from a 2-alarm house fire on the 500 block of East 7th Street. Dispatched around 12:40 a.m. Friday, Clearfield Police arrived to find three adults and several children trapped inside the burning home. The officers rushed into the building to lead the residents to safety, with at least one officer re-entering the blaze to rescue the family’s pets. The Clearfield Fire Department has officially credited the officers’ swift actions with saving multiple lives. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
