Heads up, drivers: the “superload” schedule for the Highland North Wind Farm project in Beaverdale has expanded. PennDOT reports that nine superloads are now scheduled to move through Blair, Clearfield, Centre, and Cambria counties beginning today through Friday. Three trucks will depart Clearfield County each morning at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., and 10 a.m. The route includes, I-80 East to Centre County, I-99 South toward Summerhill Township, and Exit 23 (Roaring Spring/Portage) to Route 164 and Route 2010. These massive loads will occupy multiple lanes and travel at or below the speed limit. While crews will pull over periodically to let traffic pass, significant delays are likely. Stay alert and check real-time traffic conditions via 511PA before heading out.
