An unidentified 59-year-old Duncansville man was killed last evening in a near head-on collision that Pennsylvania State Police believe was triggered by a medical emergency. The crash occurred around 5:00 p.m., as the man was driving a Jeep Wrangler north on Forsht Drive in Duncansville. According to investigators, the Jeep veered into the oncoming lane. The driver of a southbound Honda attempted to avoid the collision, but the Jeep struck the Honda’s front quarter panel before crashing through a fence and coming to rest in a wetland. The driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger in his vehicle sustained possible injuries, while the driver of the Honda suffered minor injuries. Local emergency crews, including the Duncansville Fire Department and the Blair County Coroner’s Office, assisted at the site. An investigation continues.
