Cause of Death Of Female Inmate Determined

An autopsy has confirmed that 55-year-old April Stamps, an inmate at the Blair County Prison, died from a drug overdose earlier this month.  Blair County Coroner Ray Benton reported that the cause of death was a combination of illicit drugs and prescription medication, exacerbated by pre-existing medical conditions.  The Hollidaysburg Police Department is overseeing the investigation into the circumstances of her death.
