Snow removal is scheduled for downtown Altoona today, specifically targeting 11th and 12th avenues. The City of Altoona has issued the following parking and removal schedule:
11th Avenue- Operations began at 7:00 this morning, moving from 12th Street toward 16th Street. “No Parking” signs have already been posted in this area.
12th Avenue- Work began at 4:00 this morning, with a second phase scheduled between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. Motorists are advised to use caution, and reduce speed when traveling through these downtown zones.
